National Seminar for Export Promotion in
MSMEs through
Export Facilitation Centre
Thane Small Scale Industries Association
(TSSIA), in collaboration with MSME-DFO Mumbai and Chamber of Small Industry
Associations (COSIA), successfully organized the National Seminar for Export
Promotion in MSMEs through the Export Facilitation Centre on 18th March 2025.
The seminar, held at TSSIA House, Wagle Industrial Estate, Thane, saw an
enthusiastic response from MSME exporters and prospective exporters who gathered
to gain insights into various aspects of export promotion and business
development.
Supported by DGFT, FIEO, and the Office
of the Jt. Director of Industries, Konkan Region, the seminar aimed to educate
MSMEs on product and process innovation, technology development, EXIM policy,
public procurement policy, adoption of e-commerce, market research, and more.
The event featured a distinguished panel
of speakers and experts from reputed government organizations and export
promotion councils. Notable dignitaries included Dr. Deep Shikha Birla (Sr.
Superintendent of Post Offices, Mumbai North Region), Smt. Sujata Soparkar
(Past President, TSSIA), Mr Rishi Kant Tiwari (Regional Head, FIEO), Mr. Milind
Barapatre (Jt. Director & Head of Office, MSME-DFO Mumbai), Smt. Viju
Sirsath (Jt. Director of Industries, Konkan Region, GoM), Mr. Bhavesh Maru
(Hon. General Secretary, TSSIA), Mr. Vijay Joshi (VP, COSIA), Mr. C. H. Nadiger
(Regional Director, EEPC India), Shri Kirti Panchal (EC Member &
Programme Committee, TSSIA) and many others who shared their valuable insights
and experiences.
Technical sessions covered a wide range
of topics, with expert speakers sharing valuable insights on various schemes
and initiatives. Mr. Gopal Mishra, Deputy Director General of DGFT Mumbai,
discussed DGFT schemes, while Mr. Anil Singh Rawat, Sr. Deputy Director of EEPC
India, presented the schemes of EEPC India. Mr. Mihir Shah, Sr. Consultant of
EXIM, guided participants through export documentation procedures and the
issuance of Certificates of Origin.
Ms. Harpreet Makol, Asstt. Director of
FIEO, elaborated on FIEO schemes, and Ms. Sonal Agrawal, Inspector of Posts,
Mumbai, presented the Niryat Bandhu Scheme of India Post. Mrs. Shweta Shetty,
Asstt. Director of IIP Mumbai, captivated the audience with insights into
packaging innovations, while Mr. Shubham Bansal, Marketing Executive of ONDC,
highlighted e-commerce opportunities. The session concluded with Mr. Kanta Rao
Jinna, Chief Manager of NSIC Mumbai, and Mr. S. R. Khujnare, Asstt. Director-I
of MSME-DFO Mumbai, discussing the schemes of NSIC and the Ministry of MSME,
respectively.
The event was an excellent platform for
MSMEs to interact with experts, seek guidance on government schemes, and
enhance their understanding of global business opportunities.
