Shaping the Future with Budget 2025 – Decoding the Tax Proposals

On 4th February 2025, TSSIA, in collaboration with COSIA and Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys (LKS), successfully hosted an online session that decoded the key tax proposals of the Union Budget 2025. As industry stakeholders eagerly awaited the government’s fiscal strategies, this session provided an in-depth analysis of the major changes in both Direct and Indirect Tax Laws.

The session featured expert speakers from LKS – Mr. Chaitanya Bhat, Mr. Vatsal Bhansali, Ms. Madhura Khandekar, and Mr. Dinesh Kukreja – who discussed the crucial proposals related to GST, Customs, and Direct Taxes. They explored the legislative history, judicial interpretations, and potential implications of these changes on businesses and industries, offering practical insights to help stakeholders navigate the evolving tax landscape.

Mr. Sandeep Parikh, President of COSIA and TSSIA, delivered the opening remarks, welcoming the participants and introducing the esteemed panel of speakers. The session culminated in an engaging Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their concerns regarding the new tax proposals.
