TSSIA Celebrates 49th Foundation Day with Distinction and Insight

On 20^th July, 2024, the Thane Small Scale Industries Association (TSSIA) proudly celebrated its 49th Foundation Day, marking a significant milestone in its journey to support and promote the MSME sector. The event, which blended recognition with knowledge, was held at Thane and attracted numerous dignitaries, industry leaders, and esteemed members of TSSIA.

The event commenced with an opening call and welcome address delivered by Mr. Ashish Sirsat, Vice President and Programme Coordinator of TSSIA, setting a positive tone for the proceedings.

Auspicious Enlightening

A traditional lighting of the auspicious lamp was performed by TSSIA President Mrs. Sujata Soparkar, COSIA President Mr. Sandeep Parikh, TSSIA Hon. Gen. Secretary Mr. Sunil Kulkarni, and representatives from the sponsoring organizations. This ritual symbolized the beginning of an enlightening and celebratory event.

Address by Mr. Sandeep Parikh

Following the lamp lighting, Mr. Sandeep Parikh addressed the attendees, highlighting the current activities of COSIA and its collaboration with TSSIA for the benefit of MSMEs. He discussed future plans aimed at bolstering the MSME landscape, reinforcing the collaborative spirit between the two organizations.

Felicitation of Event Sponsors

The celebration was made possible through the generous support of major sponsors, including Consuultme Capital Management (CMM), State Bank of India (SBI), and Lodha Group and as such, the event continued with a formal acknowledgment of the event sponsors, who were honored for their significant contributions to the success of the celebration. Interactive Session on “Understanding the Benami Transaction Act"

The first talk session focused on "Understanding the Benami Transaction Act" featuring expert speakers Mr. S. Sriram and Mr. Dinesh Kukreja from the law firm Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan. Moderated by Mr. Rohit Millns, this session provided valuable insights into legal frameworks affecting MSMEs, helping attendees navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Presentation of ‘Pride of TSSIA’ Awards

Following the informative session on Benami transaction Law, the prestigious ‘Pride of TSSIA’ Awards were presented to four distinguished members: Bari Metal Finishers Pvt. Ltd., Janus International, Motilal Dished Ends Pvt. Ltd., and Meyer Organics Pvt. Ltd. These awardees were celebrated for their exceptional business excellence and contributions to the industry.

Keynote Address by Mrs. Sujata Soparkar

TSSIA President Mrs. Sujata Soparkar delivered a keynote address, extending her congratulations to the award recipients and acknowledging the achievements of other TSSIA member units. In a touching tribute, she recognized the legacy of TSSIA's founder and former president, Dr. Appasaheb Khambete, announcing the renaming of Road Number 16 to ‘Dr. Appasaheb Khambete Marg’ in his honor. She expressed her gratitude towards the Executive Committee of TSSIA while acknowledging their commitment and dedication for the cause and values of TSSIA. Mrs. Soparkar reaffirmed TSSIA’s commitment to representing MSMEs, highlighting recent activities and upcoming initiatives aimed at fostering industry growth.

Panel Discussion on "Growing Your Business Using Artificial Intelligence"

The second talk session, titled "Growing Your Business Using Artificial Intelligence" featured a distinguished panel comprising Ms. Pallavi Sankhe, Mr. Amey Katkar, and Mr. Anand Pandit. The panel discussed current developments in AI and provided actionable insights on how small businesses can harness AI technology for growth. This session was also moderated by Mr. Rohit Millns, ensuring a dynamic and engaging dialogue.

Dignitary Presence

The event was honored by the presence of notable dignitaries, including Mr. Sanjay Kelkar, MLA of Thane, and Mr. Niranjan Davkhare, MLC. Additionally, office bearers from various industry associations, such as the Additional Ambernath Manufacturers Association (AAMA), Kalyan Ambernath Industries Association (KAMA), Taloja Industries Association (TIA), Murbad Industries Association (MIA), and the Federation of Indian Industries TMA (FII-TMA), also participated, further emphasizing the significance of the occasion.
